The College is a Self-Financed and recognized by the Government of West Bengal and affiliated to Kazi Nazrul University of Asansol.

A Brief Historical Background
In, 1870 Jesuit Fathers came to Asansol to start Educational Institutions to educate the people of Asansol working in Collieries, factories and Railways. Their sole aim was to uplift the people through Education especially through the English Higher Education. This English Higher Education would make the people to think and act in responsible freedom. This aim was expressed by our own great son of the soil and greatest poet of our Nation Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore,who himself was a student of Jesuit Fathers in Kolkata. Read more...
